Practical tips for beginners

The first Bikram Yoga class is a unique and unforgettable experience for all yogis.


We are looking forward to your visit!


Each lesson lasts 90 minutes and training takes place in a group in a heated room at about 40 °C and 40% humidity.


All lessons are suitable for beginners.


Although Zurich is international, it is located in German-speaking Switzerland.


Since not all Swiss people understand English, English-speaking yogis cannot always be guaranteed an English lesson. Purely English lessons are marked with "En".

What do I bring with me?

  • Free yoga mat on your first visit
  • A large bath towel for the mat
  • A shower towel
  • 1.5 liters of still water
  • Light sports clothing, e.g. shorts and T-shirt/top
  • Training is done barefoot


Everything can be bought or rented in the studio.

Before class?

Rushing and hectic pace are not suitable for yoga. Especially for the first class, you should arrive early enough to register and get to know the teacher. Be at the front desk at least 20 minutes before class.


Doors close at least 5 minutes before the start of each lesson, as our classes ALL start on time.


We recommend not to eat before class begins; ideally no food for around 2 hours before.

Drink a lot of water before arrival.

In the yoga room?

Sit in the back row by the window and use the noble silence to warm up before the yoga class begins. Your goal on your first visit is to do each exercise at least once and stay in the room for the 90 minutes. This will encourage your determination and concentration.

After class?

It is important to drink plenty of water to provide the body with the necessary minerals.


Be patient with your practice, the process of getting used to the heat usually takes three to five classes.


Come back to yoga as soon as you can. Our teachers will be happy to answer your questions after class and help you improve your yoga practice.
